IN FINNISH LANGUAGE COURSE

What matters most to me is that you feel confident using Finnish

In my lessons, we speak, listen, read, write and use Finnish in practical activities. I want learning Finnish to be practical, engaging and encouraging. I take each learner’s language background, existing skills and goals into account.

Good teaching offers the right level of challenge without leaving learners to struggle alone with tasks that are too difficult. I aim to make progress visible: what can you already do, what are we practising now, and what could your next step be?

Encouraging feedback is an important part of my teaching. There is no need to fear mistakes, as making them helps your language skills develop. Especially when speaking, what matters most is having the courage to use Finnish – even if your grammar is not yet perfect.
